The chrysanthemum stone is used to inspire and enliven. It is used to help lift depression and increase friendliness and happiness and bring joy of achievement. Chrysanthemum stone has been used to dispel ignorance, bigotry and self-righteousness.

Chrysanthemum stone blends the beauty of both earth and moon. It contains the rich dark brown color of soil and the golden glow of moonlight. The stone is associated with the astrological signs of Taurus and Aquarius.

Chrysanthemum stone was formed many millions of years ago when the strata deposit of mud that was rich in organic materials occurred at the bottom of a sea. Chrysanthemum stone is comprised dolomite, gypsum-laden clay or limestone with crystals of andalusite, celestite, feldspar or calcite which form inclusions reminiscent of blooming chrysanthemum flowers. 

All crystals purchased from "Purple Tree" are cleansed and they are energized before they are sent to you. However, over time, they will pick up negative energies or vibrations and will need to be cleansed again and re-energized. THE MOON

A full moon and a new moon are especially powerful for cleansing and recharging your stones. You can place them outside or on a windowsill at these times. Even if it is a cloudy night, the moon's rays will still energize the stones.

MOTHER EARTH

Crystals come from the earth, so placing them directly into the earth will naturally cleanse all negative energies and re-energize them. I suggest you leave them for approximately 24 hours. If the crystals are set, or strung into jewelry, it is best to gently cover them with a cloth first, so that small bits of dirt don't get into the fastenings etc.
